Since 2022, Mel Newton has turned her passion for dogs into a full-time profession, delivering expert-led dog training backed by accreditation, field-tested methods, and an open heart.

Mel’s Story

Mel’s journey into professional dog training began from a place of deep connection with animals and a commitment to doing things right. After a career as a qualified teacher, Mel brought her talent for communication, lesson planning, and bespoke learning to the world of canine behaviour. The transition wasn’t just seamless—it was inspired.

Over five years later, Mel leads a thriving practice offering dog training in Norfolk, with bespoke training facilities in Foulden, Swaffham, and Attleborough. What started as a vision has evolved into a trusted, respected name in both pet and gundog training across South and West Norfolk.

Her commitment to excellence is reflected in qualifications from the Canine Institute of Dog Training and Behaviour (CIDBT), British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers and the British College of Canine Studies (BCCS). Most recently, Mel scored exceptionally high in the Kennel Club’s J Regulations Seminar exam, further strengthening the credibility of her gundog programme.
