It’s been 12 years since I had a puppy, although always had dogs. I wanted to start with my new pup from day 1. I did 1:2:1 sessions with Mel and our new puppy from 10 weeks old.
It made such a difference to start early and I felt we were well prepared for puppy classes. Having never had a dog before, the best decision we ever made was to hire Mel to train our new toy poodle puppy (and us!) Mel is kind and patient, and full of expertise. We had in home 121 training for the first three months and then moved on to puppy classes.
One of the most important things that Mel does is listen to the owner, and then tailor the training around what the owner is looking for, and the personality of the dog. Our dog, for example, is not food oriented, so Mel worked with and around that, with excellent results! The only reason we have a calm, well behaved good girl now, is entirely down to Mel's training and guidance! I really cannot recommend Mel highly enough!!
